Z06 wheels, on coupe, sensor problems

I just bought some reproduction chrome Z06 rims. My coupe is a 99. Front sensors transferred over fine, but the rears had a problem. There is a lip in the rear Z06 rims that wont allow a flush fit to the valve stem and sensor(leaks air). I called GM they said the 99 tire sensors are different than the Z06. I was wondering, would I be able to buy Z06 tire sensors to fit these wheels and will they work with my coupe? thanks a bunch

HI there,
Well, it really depends, based on what you have as far as sensors.
Zo6 was never equipped with tire pressure warning sensors.
The RFA module, which receives the signals will function, as long as you are using the same sensors.
As far as the lip and it sealing, there are thicker sensor seals that are available, though I do not know from whom.
My last customer who did this mod, requested new orings from the supplier of the rims.

I have a 98 coupe and bought repro Z06 chrommies also and had no problems with the sensors. All four working fine

Did you get to see the tire sensors up close on the new rims? it looks like on the new rims it has like a square notch over the valve stem hole that wont allow my sensors to fit flush.. The stock 99 rims were flush on the valve stem hole..

c4c5 if you could maybe find me a part number or website to look in the right direction for a thicker o-ring or something would be great... thx

And those should be thick enough to account the repro Z06 wheels correct? and that is a GM part number
