Zanio Products

Would like to know more Zanio products. Are they really good? Any past experiences with them? I am presently using Mothers and like what it has done to improve the look of our Vette. It is Torch Red. Am always looking to improve.

Thanks,

Donna

Zaino is great stuff. Well worth it. You will need to do the dawn wash, clay bar thing before you apply Zaino.:w

What exactally is the dawn wash clay bar thing?

Zaino

Zaino is the best I have found and is the most highly rated polish available.

The dawn wash/clay bar thing is as follows: Using dawn removes old wax. Claybar is then used to remove old impurities from the surface of your Vette. Once done, you are ready to get the maximum advantage of Zaino's Z2 and Z 5 polishes. Z5 is used first to help eliminate minor swirling on the paint surface. After a couple of coats, swith to Z2 polish which gives a deeper "wet look" shine to the Vette.

Go to Zaino.com and get all the details on available products and the sequence of use. One hint.... let the Zaino polish dry on the paint surface THOROUGHLY. The cooler more humid the air, the longer it will need to dry. I sometimes put it early evening and leave it until morning before lightly hand toweling it off with a good quality cotten towel.

If you follow Zaino procedures ans sequence, you won't be disappointed.

Thanks, I'll have to give that a try! It seems to work for Blocker's vette, Looks Great :cool

Good post. It sounds like a lot of work, but it only takes a few hours. You may want to try the clay bar on your daily driver first.

I love Zaino. Not only does it look awsome, but the car is soooo easy to clean. Zaino offers a kit that has everything you need to get started. Check their web site for details.

Yes! Claybar, claybar, claybar, takes a little time and elbow grease, but well worth it, I clay mine about every 5 weeks, gives me something to do in the garage, besides, the coke machine full of Brew, is real close to the ride, hehe.Bar away, and reep the benefits, Zaino also rocks ,good to use there pre cleaner before the #2 polish, good luck.

Zaino IS the best. Test proven. Easy to use and outstanding shine! There's some who call us 'Zaino Groupies' but, their starter kit is the best $80 you'll spend! People are always asking what I use on my car. Seldom heard that before Zaino! :cool People can't believe my paint is 14 years old. JUST DO IT!

Ya know, I have used Zaino for a couple years now, and while I agree it does leave quite a shine and is easy to use and "smells" good as well, it does not give the finish that "special feel" that I like.

I mean where not only does the finish look slick, but when you run your finger across it, it FEELS slick. Like where you can set a cloth on the hood and it will slide right off, it is so slick. I can't get that with Zaino, no matter how many coats I apply.

But I CAN get it with what a lot of pro shops use and that is 3M Perfect-it products. Use the Finishing Glaze to remove (and I DO mean remove) fine scratches and swirls, then go over it with their Polishing Glaze and you will end up with a deep wet shine that equals if not exceeds the Zaino shine and has that really slick finish besides.

It takes a little more muscle to use the 3M stuff, (like the Karate Kid, wax on, wax off), but it is worth it when you see what it does for the finish. Before you commit 80 or more bucks for that Zaino stuff, consider 3M at a third of the cost of Zaino.

And no I don't own any stock in 3M products ;)
