zf 6speed lube question?

I would like to change the transmission lube, in my six speed. gm calls for dextron 3, I heard mobil 1 5-30 or m5 castrol 10-60. what do you recommend?.........

I use redline MTL in mine. The castrol m5 would be the best of the ones that you mentioned

I just had mine changed (didn't have nor could I locate a 17MM allen wrench to do the job, and come to find out, someone had creamed the fill plug so that needed to be replaced). It had 90wt gear oil in it, and they replaced it with the recommended GM lube. Shifts MUST better!!

Ditto..........Redline MTL. Get the 17mm from Sears $8.99..also save yourself some heartburn and get 2 new plugs from the dealer.

autozone has the 17mm in socket form. much better than sears allen key

It'll shift great for a month, then go back to feeling notchy. at least that is my experience with the BMW castrol stuff

I'm using RedLine MTL also. If fact I use RedLine in the engine, trans, and rearend.
