ZO6 Crate Motor

The recent Corvette Fever Magazine states that the LS7 427 engine will soon be offered as a crate engine. 505 HP etc. I wonder if that will drop into a C5?

I am a C4 guy but thinking what a great project to find a blowed up C5 and have a real Vette Sleeper. Did they change the C6 too much for that to be feasible? Are the LS engines configured the same across the generation change?

HI there,
There would be many problems with this conversion.
Never mind that the driveline is not engineered to handle the kind of power that this engine is producing.
The biggest problem is the integration of the electronics from Generation 4 small block to the Generation 3 small block that is in the c5.
I am sure it can be done, but the electronics in c5 is substantial to say the least.
Integration is the key.
