ZR1 convertible?

Maybe it's a converted ZR1, I know of a couple of gyus that have done thier Z06's.

Anythings possible!!!
 
There is a ZR-1 Convertible... you can see it at the National Corvette Museum. If I can find the picture of it again, I will post it. There were no ZR-1 convertibles released to the public for sale, but... there is one at the museum, I think it was experimental.

The red vert you saw was a pretend Z.

Yes there was a ZR-1 convertible built for Don Runkle @ GM. It was Dark Blue Metallic. Not sure where car is now. Was in quite a few magazines. Back then there were rumors a convertible might make production [1989-1990] There are also a couple of custom built ones around the country and one in process on an 89 convertible in California. :w
 
the VIN number will tell you every thing you want to know, coupes and converts have numbers that being differenatly. but it would be a cool vette ZR-1 are still the fastest around and then a rag top.
