Stuck Gear Shift Knob...HELP

I cannot get the shift knob on my '89 to come off.

I've removed the snap ring and have tryed everything I know but the sucker will not budge.madad

Do any of you guys have a suggestion?

Try a little PB Blaster and let it soak over night,then work it around some in the morning! Always worked for me!

Junkie is right again. PB Blaster and taps from a rubber mallet.
