Cam Bearing

That sure sucks...

That block had to be big time damaged before you ever got it...having that much wear, a crack, obvious resleeve....it should have been junked.
Hopefully they will see the value is a satisfied customer and not a small claims court case. Hope they offer some sort of adjustment...3000 miles? they damn sure should offer something.

I dont know what I can do it had no warrety on the short blocks.

But others are saying they do stand behind there motors so we will see.

Crackes

I also asked Blue Print Engines they are say the block are check for crackes so why is there 2 crackes where someone sleeved the #3 cylinder.
And why did someone sleeve the # 3 Cyinder in the first place the block should of been rejected in the first place.

I checked My Roller Rocker amrs they shot they grinding when you cycle them and have play in them I replace them and New push rods why take a change.

I need to have the heads checked now what a can of worms this turned out to be.

So basicly I building a new motor from Pan up again.

But this time even If anouther short block it will come all apart and be Ultra soinc cleaned inside and out double checked for everything before it go's together.

If I have to use the Stock L98 block it will be CLEAN Clean Clean.

I also been thinking of finding a newer roller block and build off of that instead.

I might do a Corvette Mike and put togther in the kitchen I dont think the Wife will be that mad after seening what happen to the last motor.

...not till she see's the bill !:beer

They back it up

Blueprint engines came though they are going to send me a replacment 383 short block I have to buy new gaskets ect but at least they are making thingsa right with the short block.

But this time around as soon as I get the short block I am tear it down to a bare block have it Ultra Sonic cleaned out use a brush on All the oil passageways Clean the do do out of it plastic gage every bearing I will see what it cost to have the block check for cracks I dont want to go through this again.
I have to have the heads torn apart have the Valve guilds checked and vavles make sure they are Ok before the motor is put back together.
