6-Speeds ROCK-ON

The guy with the 94 Black Rose called me yesterday and asked if I was still interested in it and that I could come down to see it at any time. Well I just got back from taking a look at it. I really liked the color I know I won't be seeing any around here the same color. For a car that is 17 years old with 71K on it it is in pretty good shape. It has some scuffs and scratches in the paint, the drivers seat needs some TLC, a couple of pieces of weatherstrip needs to be replaced, one headlight makes a clicking sound after it closes and several rattles. If the Harley goes soon it looks like it will be mine. The 96 Red LT4 6 speed is gone and I haven't been able to locate another one that is not a collectors edition.

I also had a HD. I traded it for my 93 ( torch red ). It had over 150k on it and no records. After I got it (on a thrs) I changed the top and bottom rad hoses and the belt (on fri) hit the road for a 600 mile wknd road trip. I wouldnt worry much about it.

If the Harley goes soon it looks like it will be mine. The 96 Red LT4 6 speed is gone and I haven't been able to locate another one that is not a collectors edition.

Strange

Something strange yesterday I got a call from a friend who told me he knew about a Vette for sale. So I called the guy and found out it is a 96 Collector Edition with Red interior and the LT4. So I went to check it out late yesterday afternoon. I not real big on silver but that Sebring silver looks fantastic. The red interior is in great shape and looks great with the silver. The guy used to belong to a Corvette club and kept it in great shape it only has 47K on it. Took if for a ride it is very tight everything felt and sounded good. The best part is he is only asking $14000 for it. I will now bust my a$$ to sell the bike because I really like this one, LT4 with the 6 speed it is what I wanted.

I went over to see the guy with the Collector Edition and gave him a deposit to hold the car for me for two weeks. I have a couple of people interested in my bike hopefully everything will go well and I'll have the car in a week or so. If everything does go well I talked to my wife about going to Corvettes at Carlisle. maybe I'll get to meet some of you there.

Well my wife is even getting a little excited about getting the Vette. There are tons of cruises and show around here that I will be going to when I get a Vette. There is even a cruise night at a small local asphalt oval track where they let you do some laps behind their pace car. I will certainly post pictures when I get something.

Well it looks like I'm not going to be a Corvette owner. I have had my Harley for sale for several weeks now and have even lowered the price a few times and still no takers. I gave the guy a deposit to hold Collector Edition for two weeks and time is running out soon. This Collector Edition is everything I want and I would really hate to lose it. I went from completely excited about getting what I wanted to completely bummed about not getting it.

My father-in-law passing away recently and my wife is executrix of the will. He had some outstanding bills and a lawsuit against him that is now on us. I would just get a loan until the bike is sold but we can't get any type of a loan until everything is settled. So I have to rely on the sale of the bike to buy a Vette with. We tried to get a $1600.00 refrigerator from Lowes with their 18 month 0% interest but were turn down and that is when we found out about the bills and lawsuit against him showing up on our credit report We do have a lawyer working on it but this could take several months to a year to clear everything up.

Sorry to hear about your loss, those things can be very comlicated for sure If this VETTE is destined to be yours it will happen, again hang in there sometimes the wait can make the end results even sweeter

I lost the Collector Edition. I gave the guy money to hold it for two weeks but he sold it for $500.00 more then the deal he had with me three days before the two weeks were up. I give up I'm just not meant to have a Vette. I don't believe in the saying that it was meant to happen anymore I think that is just a way to try make somebody feel better. Well I feel like crap and nothing will change that.

Don't give up Tom, there are lots of cars out there, one has your name on it. The right one and the right situation will come along.
