Tail pipes carbon up daily

Drive my car back and forth to work 12 miles per day ,every evening I have to wipe the pipes out.Is this normal?

It's normal.
Carbon and other particulate matter is a byproduct of combustion and it all goes through the exhaust.

That said, for someone who wants the inside of the pipes clean as new, it's, well..."abnormal" is the wrong word. Let's say it's "unfortunate" or, perhaps, "messy".
