Help! key locked

I went to start my 93 this morning and the key would not turn at all totally locked
then I got it to move and all the dash lights went on like normal but did not start nothing at all
I did eventually get it to start
and I did try to move the steering wheel, and all the usual things

Next time try moving the shifter at the same time.
The interlock cable that locks out the Ign switch may be out of adjustment

good point!!! is this something I need to have looked at or will it adjust itself back to were it should be.

Further investigation needed.
If the cable is worn and not moving correctly it has no adjustment.
Either replace or disconnect and secure it in the unlocked position

The trans lockout cable is the black one on the drv side of the shifter
