Glad I found you all. Am looking to buy my second Vette (1st was a '67 about 30 years ago, sweet ride) so been out of the loop for a while. Looking for a C6 and have a lot of questions, but I guess the biggest one right now is how does everyone feel about the auto with paddle shifters? Been driving stick most of my life but my son drives a Beemer with the paddles and swears by them. Thanks in advance, and any other info you think would be helpful in my search would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the :CAC

Mine is a standard, but the Wife's is an A6 paddle shifter. Personnely, I like shifting and was not that impressed with the paddle shifter. When I drive the Wife's car, I just leave it in Drive. There is a slight delay between hitting the paddle and the transmissing shifting that I don't like. But both standard and automatic are awesome cars!!! Good luck on your search.

Welcome to CAC!!!
Enjoy!!!!

Welcome and I hope you enjoy whichever car you choose. I own a 13 3LT Grand Sport convertible MZ6. I still love manual shifting. I have previously owned a 69 4 speed roadster and a 99 6 speed manual convertible. Make sure you get the color combo and features that you can live with. If not, you won't be happy. It all boils down to what you want to put your butt in and make you smile.

I prefer rowing and accept I'll sacrifice some time in a quarter mile... As I don't drag race it, I don't care.. :D

As they pay warranty, the factory guys aren't willing to offer "shift kit" programming. ;)
