gearbox heat

After driving my c6 for a while...it gets pretty warm on my right leg drom the gearbox area is this normal

I don't notice it on my leg, but the tunnel does get very warm. A bottle of pop doesn't stay cool very long in the cup holders.

That looks like a better solution to me and less expensive to boot.

That tunnel plate has to help some, but keep in mind that there is a lot of heat transfer through the floors also, so doing the floors and tunnel under the carpet may be a better place to start.
