...about my car..where do I begin.. i was fortunate to be in ct close to callaway cars...my car was one of the first aerobody cars, i dont know if any of you remember Tobe Batte, he actually told me to wait because the first batch of 5 were really tough to work with..missing fins to attach, etc. so I left my car at callaway for like 9 months until they fixed most of the little things..when I picked it up it had like 900 + miles on it..they used it as there test mule so to speak..I let them of course..my car was used alot in the photos for some of the big name magazines...even in 91 when the new cars came out I got a phone call to see if they could use my car for the photos..ready all we did was change the hood from a 91 car that wasnt quite ready and used my car..it was exciting for me I bought the car when I was only 19 so I was on top of the world

I bet your car is the one that was photographed for the Jesse Alexander Portfolio - the red AeroBody :cool

Your car sounds like it has some amazing history :cool

Toby was the person I called to see about "converting" my 1989 coupe, back in 1989 or 1990. He invited me to come see the shop and tour the facilities - an offer I did not take (Callaway Cars) up on, until Nov. 2002 :eek
Toby had since left the company however, the folks I met there were equally as helpful and I have sent my cars back to Old Lyme more than a few times

Are you going to be able to make the Callaway shows in Bowling Green in May, and the Callaway Reunion in August @ Carlisle??

Hi Chris,

I'll be in carlisle for sure. Cant make it to BG in may unfortunately. Still waiting for callaway to make some time for me to service my car. They are unfortunately very busy at the moment with the new cars and are not doing any service work on TT cars. I've been spoiled and they have always serviced my car. We'll see how it turns out, but I'll be forced to go elsewhere if they cant squeeze me in in the near future. I understand the cars are 20 years old, but I hope they are not giving up on the TT cars. Sure does sound like it..I've been calling for quite some time to have my car brought in for service..last year it was the mazda thing. I've been a loyal and valued customer and love the TT cars so hopefully callaway will be able to squeeze some of us guys in again soon. Especially for the 100+ package..I'm in for that one definitely. Cant wait to meet you guys in carlisle..sounds like its going to be a lot of fun.

Cliff you just have to call in advance and set up a date . That is what I did. I will be up there soon. They are still servicing our cars .They are just a little busy and you have to be flexable with their scheduling. Pete

Hi Pete,
I've actually tried that a few times. Maybe I'm just catching them at bad times. Joanne told me they werent doing service work for awhile everytime. I am the most flexible customer they have I think...one of the closest too. LOL. I know what you mean, but I have seriously tried for awhile now and have been turned away. They even gave me someone else as a referral to take my car to. I'll keep trying and hopefully I'll get in. Anybody else asking about the 100+ like me???

I am always asking about it. I will have to have another talk with them about it when I go up there in a couple of weeks. Also I will talk to them at the New York Auto Show when they come down to my neck of the woods.

Last count that Pete & I had, was just shy of a dozen Callaway Owners who are interested in the 100+ package/upgrade hnoes I am sure if advertised, there might be more - This was an over-the-counter package, for "off-road use"
