:ugh and I'm going through withdrawal. :eek:hnoes

I took her to Kevin today along with a list of things I wanted done.

  • Check front stabilizer bar bushings.
  • Check steering wheel for squeak
  • Change oil and filter
  • Replace air filter
  • Service transmission (replace fluid and filter)
  • Check brakes
  • Replace AC head unit (Ouch!)
  • Check treadwear on tires (90% wear... Big OUCH!)
  • Alignment
I had to leave her overnight because the transmission kit and new tires won't be in until tomorrow.

When I get her back she should be ready for the Tail of the Dragon! :cool

If ya wanna play...ya gotta pay !!!;)

If you are buying new tires at this time, that looks like at least $3000. :eek:hnoes

Ain't Corvette ownership $Grand...after $Grand, after $Grand:eyerole
My vette is very much like my boat expense.
BOAT=Bring Out Another Thousand. Since I can't take it with me I'm not going!!:crazy

Too true! :L

Yikes! Last time I left my car (Explorer) in the shop for a week, I ended up leaving it there and getting a new car, you watch out girl. :D

Sharon - you've read my mind... or my diary. :L

Yep... new tires too. But I got a year's worth of driving on the set of used tires I bought from a member here last year for $450.

Boat - a hole in the water into which people throw money.

Oh my goodness!
I've been putting off doing some of those things too, knowing that the sticker shock would be brutal.

I hope it doesn't you hurt too much ($$).. at least you'll have her in top shape for the trip next month. Maybe the head unit will be under warranty? :confused

I had to replace mine after the car was off factory warranty. It was covered by my aftermarket warranty only because the adjuster thought that the temperature control did not work correctly. Funny how the climate controls do not work when the doors are open and all the air is blown out the door frame vents! :L The lights alone would not have been covered. Just my experience...

Nope - no covered repairs or replacements in the bunch.

I picked her up this afternoon but I have to go back tomorrow because the tires didn't come in. The good news is that I didn't hear any squeaks driving home.

Update!

I spent the day getting new tires installed and an alignment. She drove great on the ride home.

Oh yeah... and it's nice to be able to read the temp on the head unit again. :)

I'm poorer :ugh but baby's in great shape!:upthumbs

NOTE to self: remember to put "yes to ANY overtime available" on bulletin board. ;squint:
