It's time to give my 99 a little tune up, she's been idling a little ruff. I will be changing plugs and wires but I'm not sure which are better. There are so many choices in plugs and wires I'm not sure what is hype and what really works good. I would hate to spend a lot of cash and time on replacing the plugs that don't perform as advertised. I would like to find out what others are running in their cars and if they noticed any difference in idling or general performance.
Thanks in advance for all input.

I've done a lot of research on this and the GM red high performance wires seem to come out on top every time.

As far as plugs go I replaced the AC Delco platinum's with the AC Delco iridium's. I took that advice from C4C5specialist and couldn't be happier. A lot of others are using the NGK TR55 copper core plug with good results but I think they change them every year or so.

I agree 100%!!! They are also a great bang for the buck compared to some setups out there..

Where did you find these Red wires...and what is the cost for a set. My 2001 has the original set...however I am very interested in your input after using them a while. Did you put the shield sleeves around them?
Have a great week and appreciate any advice about the GM wires.

GM TUNE-UP items.

Thanks for the P/N numbers and web/sites. THe Red set wire is very fair on price...I'll get some before Colorado run in June. l

Your a good man...I appreciate the reply back... Have a good C5 week.
