I have tried several times to post photos here lately. Everything looks good from the URL, but when I submit, all that shows is the danged RED X.

I have tried Village Photos, Photobucket AND TinyPics.

I have checked all internet settings I know of, and all looks good. But the problem persists.

Vut Up???

Here's an example...

SEE???

This is severely restricting my humor quotient!!!;LOL

That's happened to me before Johnny. I've discovered the problem I believe...

In the box which opens for you to paste your URL, you'll notice the "http://" is highlighted (blue). If you right click on the address bar and select "paste" it eliminates this "http" and replaces it with your address.

If you first left click on the address bar, it removes the highlight and thus leaves this "http" along with the second one in your image URL.

Then you end up with something like this:

PHP:
http://http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-10/1088518/1953Mercury2.jpg

You're exactly right Jane Ann...that has happened to me several times. I really think the URL field in the "insert image" popup should be blank...cuz that's what happens 99% of the time...cut 'n paste the URL from another browser.

Thanks fo putting it down in plain English, Janie Annie! (unlike those smarmy Canucks!!):D

I never noticed the http:// was doubled, for when you paste the address it takes up more space than can be seen on the screen.

It's all good now, girl!:upthumbs

You are so right, John. Jane Ann did a fine job of laying it all out for you on "eight-by-ten colour glossy photographs with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one". Pictures certainly are worth a 1,000 words.....but then again, I only used 8 words. ;)
