81 callaway rocco

I own an 81 callaway rocco stage 2. I am the third owner and believe the system was installed by callaway in ct, by the owner as a new car. My question is this. Were any records kept of VIN numbers or any way of tracking them. My car is in excellent shape and even still runs the micro fueler. I have the original water injection pieces (not on the vehicle) it now has a different elbow where the water injection was, it does have the callaway symbol on it though. It is running the original turbo and intercooler and piping. It has the callaway valve cover and the badges for the interior. I am just wondering if anybody knows any thing about the MKI scirocco's. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

I have some interesting articles,brochures and datasheets about the Mk1 turbokits but my new design website is still in progress.

can you send me some pictures of your car and specially the engine bay, the spare elbow, wheels and interior badge.

In that way I should be able to identify your car.
Steve ( callawaymk2) has an original Scirocco build by Callaway and he knows all about these special series rocco's

I am more "specialized" in the Rabbit/Golf which is the same turbokit but not produced in a special series like the rocco's had.

Sorry about not getting those pics up. We (the wife & I) are getting ready to take the callaway and our corrado to a vw show in Ocean City Md. this weekend. I'll be sure to get plenty of fresh pics to post up.
