Why only the 1987 to 1990 Z51 car :cry
I bought mine specially cause its a fully loaded Z51

In my personal position I hope the USD vs EURO wil stay good so that it will absorb the increasing prices of the Callaway Cars for me.

Otherwise I have to let my dream for a C4 aerobodied SNAT or TT go and jump on a SC C6 somewhere in the next decade.

89x2 - what magazine was this from? - awesome news for my son maybe - or maybe his kids

Kruzmisl,

I had free tickets to Barrett-Jackson but was a rather busy so I didn't go.

Had I known you were there, I would have gone to say hey! :w
Its only a 45 minute drive away for me.

I talked to Pierce after the event. He has a special "one off" CTTC ! Chris, do you know more on this one?

It is an 88 automatic. Maybe in the color, it is one-of-a-kind ;shrug

An interesting this, was how the NCRS (based apparently on his car from judging it and being the only one they had ever seen...) was their perception that ALL automatic Callaways MUST HAVE BEEN manual cars to begin with. This is not true. If a car WAS a manual to begin with as I was told his was, that would be an exception to the building, not the rule...;squint:

The NCRS wants to, or wanted to give MAJOR deductions for ALL Automatics as the equipment configuration would not have matched the SPI label. I disagreed with that, saying the car(s) CAME AS AUTOMATICS and Callaway simply installed their stronger equipment to handle it. If you ordered an automatic B2k, there of course was an extra charge for this...

In part, some still were thinking it was a "Callaway option" vs. a GM option but it was an answer to the automatic needing to be beefed up, much like engine equipment, etc. as a part of the B2K package. :cool

At the end of the conversation, one still thought it would be right to deduct for the look of the trans, since it wasn't a 700r4 :eyerole
