I was wondering what the best option for lettering the back of my 99 Coupe would be?
I've seen several different materials used.
What is best?
Where to purchase?
Thanks ;help

I think it depends on what color you want. If you want silver/chrome I would go with a stainless insert. If you want color I would go with cyberdine as suggested.

Color and material choice?

So what color do you all think would look best on my car, torch red :mad. I'm torn between chrome or black. My interrior is black.

Also, I see some are made of a metal material and some are a vinyl material, which do you prefer to both last longer and not mess up the car if you take them off.

:confused

I think it comes down to what you want the over all look of your car to be. Are you thinking about accenting the rest of car with chrome or black?

Find a good pin striper. The letters are filled in orange, almost the same color as Torch Red, but very subtle. Then he did the black outline around 50% of each letter.

I currently have the chrome letters, but I have to say that looks great Rojo. I used to have a bright red Silverado with added pinstripes in orange and yellow. It didn't sound good to me until I saw it. That's a very good idea. I might be pulling the chrome letters off to do this. My wife is gonna be p*ssed at you! ;LOL

I was kinda in a hurry last night when I posted the photo. When I looked at it today, I realized it did not show much detail. I took a couple more photos this afternoon. The second one is the interior airbag. I got real tired of the stick-ons not sticking on. My pin striper did this too. All he did was match the seat leather color and outlined the letters. Now your wives will really be pi**ed!

I bought some from AutoTrimDesign, direct link here. I went with the reflective black. They look good, but I couldn't make them stick. I cleaned off the wax as best as I could, but never could get them to stay. I bought those same letters for my VUE a year or so earlier and those look and stick great. I have reflective red on that, it looks awesome, but I have never driven behind my VUE, so don't know if they "light up" as people follow me.

Here is a before & after of my vette, before I removed them:

Here is what the back of my VUE looks like:

This is a really crappy picture, but here they are lit up:

I don't have any night pics of the vette, but the black ones light up somewhat silvery, they obviously don't glow black. ;)

The letters are custom made upon order, so it takes a few days for them to show up.
