Hang Loose Bud!! I think I have a compleat air Box!!!! I'm checking now!:upthumbs

Yeah Bud,I have a Stock LS1 Box!! The 2 mounting grommets are missing, other than that it's all there!I think I Stoled them for Rains car while he was here!:D:D:DI'll have to find something to ship it in!:upthumbs

:w Jesse,

There is a Z06 (Air Box Cover) on Ebay I was thinking of bidding on??

I've been told "Abby" would run better with more Air, then I was shown the 1" opening on the Stock LS1 :eek I thought about cutting a bigger hole, but didn't want to destroy the original Cover :crazy ...

PM me with a price and shipping costs :upthumbs I'd be happy to butcher someone else's Cover :D

I may go ahead and bid on the Z06 Cover, and if I get it I'll let you know. Bid goes off tomorrow sometime, so I should know by tomorrow evening sometime ;)

THANKS Jesse

There are also 3 1 inch openings on each end that you can't see unless you take it out of there!! I really don't think you will gain much by opening other than noise!!Unless you change out the air bridge too with one thats not as restricted and allow the engine to draw more Air!! Let me look at my air bridge selection too!!!:L:L:L :D

A lot of guys think it just passes air in thru the front hole. I had mine out & can see a lot of air passages on both sides.

If you are going to drill some holes (swiss cheese mod) try to quantify before/after instead of the usual SOP evaluation.

We would all be interested.

:)

Maybe I should stick with the C3's :chuckle ..

My journey into the C4's was ok until the '93 piece of crap :eek

I swore I'd never own a newer one than a 1981... that's what I get for swearing :boogie ;LOL You'd think I'd learn but oh :nono not the dim bulb one :nono

Maybe I'll just leave "Abby" alone and not mess around with her. Just wax and drive her :Steer RARE still sound better when I mash the go peddle, nothing like a quadrajet taking a deep breath of fresh air :dance and let's not forget those Flowmaster 40's :D

C3's are allot of fun Bud, I LOVE'em and will always own one or two!!:D:D:DBut I'd be willing to bet that Abby sounds Meaner than you think if you could hear her!! Heres a Test for you,you get in Ma's Lincoln and have her get in Abby and head out to one of those secluded Texas black tops!!!From about 25 MPH have her stomp Abby to the floor to 65 MPH while you follow if you can!!!:boogie:boogie:boogie Now listen to the Sweet Sound of Abby coming on,she will sound allot Louder and Meaner than you think!!!Just because you can't hear her from the passenger compartment don't mean that people around you can't!!:upthumbs

Vett Boy and I met up with a couple guys from another forum last Feb in South Florida for dinner at a Out Back in Ft Liquor Dale!! These guy's had just spent over $1000 each with installation on Corsa's!!:L:L:L I had parked at the Out Back and they had parked across the street in a Vacant Parking lot so after dinner we were BSing and I went to get Yevette so we could take some photos, coming in the parking lot I turned Yevette Loose!! Power shifted to 2nd and then Banged 3rd and shut'er down and then backed in beside them, before I even could shut it off and get out of the car they had there heads under the back of my car looking at my exhaust and wanting to know what kind of exhaust it had!!!:D:D:DThey didn't want to believe me it was Stock!!!!:boogie:boogie:boogie

:w Well you know what they say :D "Good Things Happen to Good People" :boogie

I won the bid on
  • Z06 Intake Bellows
  • Z06 Air Cleaner Intake Cover

I got them both for $61.00 + shipping total of around $80.00 :D

Thanks everyone, and YOU to Jesse, it's a learning curve that has no peak, and has no valley :eek I'm just out here on my own struggling, without y'all ;) THANKS!

I be poop'n in TALL Cotton! :dance :D

Bud

Note: A couple are coming to Amarillo this weekend to look at Rare. Coming up from Austin :eek Rare may not make the Oklahoma Show :eek :cry :cry :cry worse she may be gone by this time next week :cry :cry
