Hi Guys
I am looking for a little pointing in the right direction here on two matters.

1. On my Vette one of the fog/driving light lenses is broken. Do I need to remove the bumber to replace and if so how involved is this as the manual sems vauge

2. When I ran the car last night for the first time for a while once the engine got hot it started steaming around the coolant bottle. Anyone had anything similar so I know where to start diagnosing from at the weekend

thanks

Is the manual you have a FSM manual or is it a Haynes or Chiltons manual? If it is not a FSM manual, you may want to purchase a set. Steam usually indicates overheating, make sure there is enough coolant in the system.

I agree, Have you ever had the coolant changed and or the system flushed and cleaned? If not, . . . I would !

Yes you have to remove the front bumper, it involves removing the bolts that hold the black air dam or spoiler underneath about 15 bolts, and removing the screws on the iside of the front wheel wells about 4 in each wheel well. and open the hood and there is about 8 screws right along the the top seam where the hood meets the front bumper. Also unplug the side marker lights. Once thats done its a easy to switch the fog lights out, I did mine about 2 years ago.

Your radiator might be out of coolant, and the radiator might not be able to suck the coolant out of the coolant bottle. My 85 ran out of coolant because of a leaking water pump. It would only leak while driving and did not leak on the garage floor. I changed the water pump, chip, and added a 160 degree thermostat, now it never over heats:thumb. My 84 never has any issues just this 85 TPI, 84 crossfires rock.
