HI there Bill.......We are about 40 miles from Newport.......Was tere last weekend, one of our members was born there and she lead us all down to a huge apple farm and restaurant......It was really cool.......

Hello Rudy; spent a lot of time in the Newport area years ago, that's in Cocke County as I remember. An old Army buddy of mine lived there and I went home with him some back in the mid-sixties, I am sure it has changed a lot since then. By the way his last name is Gilland and I am sure he still has family there, his Mother I am sure is still there, and brother or two. His family was in the produce business as I remember, seems like they went back and forth to Georgia for a lot of it.
