Grand Sport Calipers on older C4

Hi Folks.
Will the GS Calipers fit straight on a 1993 front or do i need some extras?

Obviously you need the 13" J55 rotors if you only have stock 12" ones.You would also need the J55 / GS caliper brackets.
If you already have J55 brakes then GS straight is straight bolt up.

To put GS calipers on a 93, in the front, you need rotors, caliper mounting brackets and calipers. In the rear, you need just calipers.

Also, you need bolt torque info. Be advised that several years of service manuals misprint the rear torque as the front which, of course, can lead to damage. I'm on a road trip right now w/o access to my service data, but maybe "c4c5 Specialist" can post the info.

Do you happen to know the thickness of the GS rotor? I have aftermarket two-piece rotors with Brembo 6 pot calipers and I want to put sawblades back on.

From what I'm reading you want to go back to factory wheels without the Brembo setup?

Correct. I want to put sawblades back on the car but they won't fit with the Brembos. I wanted to know if GS calipers would fit with sawblades or if I needed J55s. Sounds like GS calipers fit!

Yes they do. I have already the Z07 package which has the J55 brakes. I liked the GS calipers which are much nicer than the factory calipers used with the J55 setup. Keep in mind that the Z07 comes with 9.5x 17 on all four corners.

Do you happen to know the thickness of the GS rotor?

J55 /GS 13" (330mm ) rotors are 28mm thick.
Std JL9 12" rotors are 20.5mm
