fuel pressure adjustment

I just changed the pump in my 84 with an original 88 and it runs fine, however the tool and gauge for fuel pressure has not come for fine tuning. however i want to change the pressure but i dont exactly know what or where the fuel pressure adjustment piece would be. Please help.

Pressure adjustment would be on the fuel pressure regulator itself, except I don't believe the factory regulator an any vehicle is adjustable; only an aftermarket adjustable regulators.

I imagine the aftermarket regulator has a screw that changes the tension on the diaphragm spring, although I've never seen one...

Exactly right. The factory pressure regulator, is on top of the intake manifold base, under the plenum. It's non-adjustable. To adjust fuel pressure I recommend installing a Holley adjustable regulator. You'll have to remove the plenum to install it.

Your sig sez 84.. but you put an 88 pump in??

I think the adjustment for a 84 is under the rear injector you have to modify it to make it adjustable. There is lots of info on how to do it at the "crossfire injection forum". Those guys know their stuff over there. You will have to register to log in to find the info.
