Thinking about selling; any hints as to how to market, where to market, is there a market for an 81 Corvette?

Thanks in advance for all comments.

This is definitely a buyers market, not the greatest news for you. On the upside, there should be people looking for good cars, the ones that are looking anyways.

I'm wondering now if it is much tougher to get a loan on a car that is more than 5 years old. Might be the case that a person with cash money would be purchasing your car.

Is you're going to sell, I would surely good into the export market. Of course at this moment the prices arent that great but here in Holland I see more and more people buying there Corvette directly in the States and I think more countries are going with that idea. Not that you should put the 81 in a boat to the other side of the ocean but if you're going to sell make sure the ad is also viewable for people outside the States.

And of course don't sell if you don't trust it.

:ugh Uhm, a little more information would be helpful....And you probably should have created a separate thread for this....

Where to list car? Corvette Trader? Auto Trader? Collector Car Trader? Craigs' List? ebay?

I am trying to figure out where to start?

Ebay wouldn't hurt, especially a national audience. Although I see that ebay has a bunch of cars listed, 26 to be exact.

How is your local economy? If it is good, than posting local would be a good idea. Craigslist doesn't cost anything, ebay, and auto traders do.

If your looking for an other Corvette enthausiast maybe an idea to post your vette on several forums? Nowadays if I would buy a vette I would first look at forums because most of the people on forums love there Corvette more then others. Just an idea. :)

If you go the ebay way make sure you take tons of pics and describe anything thats been done to it.I myself dont like buying anything I cant drive and inspect first.
