    Floor pan question

You do not take out the 3 rivets on the doorsill with the replacement floor pans. Don't know if this will help, but it kinda goes like: The pans are spot welded and riveted in place. These will both have to be drilled out. Once trimmed and test fit, the new pans will be spot welded in and...

    Whos your Favorite Shark?

Well that's just too kind! :upthumbs KingCorvette is entitled to his opinion. Not sure of the purpose of the post though because I'm sure that among members here every year is represented and I'd like to think most didn't buy years they didn't like. :eyerole The stock 81 maybe didn't have...

    Cleaning up the engine bay/frame

One thing I always say, as do most others, is that it's in the details. If you have the motor out you are way ahead of the game. Your plan sounds like a good one but don't go by the theory of "well you can't see it anyway". You'll know it's there so while you are at it and have it all apart...

Question: C3 upgraded to an LS1

Many have done and fortunately there is little to no fabrication required any longer as all the parts are available. Check with Trey at SpeedHound and he can hook you up with just about everything you need. Speed Hound If it's a Corvette LS1 with the V pan you will need to swap it for the...

    Help! 81 corvette frame

The engine is offset about 1" or so to the passenger side to give more clearance for the drivers feet and other reasons.

    LS7 in a C3?

Too Kind! :w An F-Body pan is a bolt-on and fits no problem. The "V" pans are no good for these swaps. I run an LS6 but you can drop an LS7 in there and do it without the Oil Tank if you want to change from a Dry Sump to Wet Sump and set it up like any LS engine. Several out there make...

    C/3-C/4 orC/5 frame swap

As mentioned there are several suppliers, SRIII Motorsports being one of them (www.sriiimotorsports.com) that make tubular or stock style chassis' set up for late model suspension and running gear. I used the SRIII with C4 front and back. Couldn't be happier with the ride and handling. It's...

    Winter Project

You'll love it. Don't know if it will help, but I used a stock console and jsut did a little mod work on the shifter. My brother machines me up an angled block to use a Camaro Clutch Slave cylinder. With 3.90 gears at 70mpg I'm cranking at 1800rpm in 6th but can shred the tires in lower...

    floor pan and seat belt

Replacing floorpans is a labor intensive job but with the right tools, time, and some brute force it's not that bad. In case you are thinking of doing it yourself, perhaps below may help: You need a good drill, a spot weld drill bit (roto-brooch), a sawzall or plasma cutter or torch. A...

    L-88 long style hood sources

ACI here: Have the invoice somewhere but I think it was around $650 with shipping. Maybe less.

can anyone tell who made these digital gauges?

Thanks. The hood was from ACI along with the fiberglass bumpers front and back. Took some work thought o make it all fit together nicely but probably no more than any aftermarket products.
