OK I'm sure that there is a thread on here about this but I just didn't see it. I want to drop a LS1 into my "77". Has anyone done this and is there a conversion kit to do this. I have all the harnessing, computers, and engine components. I need brackets for all the mounts and whatever else.

Thanks:cool

I haven't done it, but I met a guy at a car show that had an LS1 in his 1968.

He said he had to fabricate custom motor mounts and it took him a lot of trial and error to get everything in place.

Also, his tachometer didn't work.

I don't know of a true "kit," but I wouldn't be surprised if there was one.

Good Luck!!!

I read somewhere that you would need to change the oil pan as the Corvette one will interfere.

Many have done and fortunately there is little to no fabrication required any longer as all the parts are available.

Check with Trey at SpeedHound and he can hook you up with just about everything you need. Speed Hound

If it's a Corvette LS1 with the V pan you will need to swap it for the Camaro pan. It's a bolt on effort.
