    Question: leak near fuel regulator

Looks like if may have found it...will disassemble to verify. Thank you both! Tonight I believe I found the issue to be the passenger side of the regulator block and rail interface to be the leak. There was gas on top of the rail at this point. I will follow the sage advice. Joe

    Question: leak near fuel regulator

I noticed my car running oddly. Stumbling slightly when I first found the leak. Leaking enough that I cannot drive the car. Is it possible to have a pressure problem causing the leak? I have not measured the fuel pressure at the rail. The leak seems to be intermintant as I ran the car around...

Heater Hose Tee on an 86 vette

Thanks for your info. I have discovered a plastic tee (motormite 47118) and plain 3/4" heater hose will do the trick. Thank you for reply all the same. Joe

Heater Hose Tee on an 86 vette

Does anyone know where to get this part? I am talking about the Tee in the small out let of the WP that feeds the heater core and the oil cooler. The PN is 14091278 which I can get from GM parts Direct, but I was looking for a local box store or more cost effective mail order (which is all...

    Caulk?

Thanks for the response SoLow. Even in the gap that would be there between the pieces? What I mean is the crack has a buildup that looks like butal caulk you would use on a tub, but is painted and stiff. Joe

    Caulk?

I am embarking on a repair job to the rear lower part of the quarter panel just behind the door. There seems to be a kind of caulk that is in between this part and the door jamb. Does anyone know what it is? Joe

    Parting car, need little bits

Rear wheel well parts I am looking for a left side rear wheel welll liner. Also, the small piece of trim behind the drivers side door and the piece of fiberglass below that trim piece which completes the lower front half of the wheel opening.

Fuel Leaking by the schrader valve.

Unfortunately, I have ordered the part from GM Direct and they do not allow you to cancel. I may try to sell the part on ebay if I can find the correct size at O'Reilly's. All I need now is TIME! Thanks for the suggestion. Joe

    Timing

Never mind. I just read a great post in another area about timing and it answered all my questions....guess I need to read a little!

    Timing

Okay, this is my first time so go easy on me (and yes I need to purchase a shop manual and have not). I am about to check my timing and do not know what the scale on the balance means precisely. Here is what I am postulating. Above the TDC is "Advanced" degrees per gradicule and Below the TDC is...

Fuel Leaking by the schrader valve.

Just an update, I had to purchase the valve online as the local bubba did not actually have the part he thought he could get.

Fuel Leaking by the schrader valve.

Just as an aside, I purchased a "parts catalog" for C4's off of ebay ($10) shipped. It is Abobe PDFs and comes with V7 of Adobe so you do not have to hunt that. It is really great for drawings with PNs all over the place. Let me know if you are interested and I can send anyone an ebay link to...
