    Big Block swap

Sorry I have not been on here lately. My big block swap evolved into this body off project. Since this photo was taken almost three weeks ago everything has been removed from frame. If all goes well I will be painting the frame in the next few days.

    C3 Body Dolly

I recently purchased a video from Mid America called "Body Lift" and "Chassis Disassembly" with Noland Adams. The video came with a workbook which also has instructions and diagrams on constructing a body dollie. These plans don't say anything about changing dimensions for C1,C2,or C3. Chris

    Big Block swap

I recently purchased a 427 to put in my '68(which currently has a 350). I am collecting parts to do this swap and complete the engine which is still apart(the short block is together). I still need pulleys, alternator brackets, but most of all I need to know what water pump I need, long or...

    Wheels-Tires-BackSpacing-Offset-HELP!!!

I went the wrong way with the spacer measurement, 70 LS1 is right in the 5.5" backspacing for the rear wheels with a 12'' width and 4'' backspacing 10.5'' width up front.

    Wheels-Tires-BackSpacing-Offset-HELP!!!

Sorry I only figured the back wheel. I would say 10.5" for the front wheel width and 12" in back.Chris

    Wheels-Tires-BackSpacing-Offset-HELP!!!

If you like where your wheels come out to now and I underatand how this all works? I think offset trailing arms give you an additional 1.5" of backspacing so, can't that plus your backspacing on your wheels now and your spacer be added all together to come up with the disired new wheel...

I don't know if any of your are still looking at this but I wanted to put out here that the car is running now. Now is the time I have to put out here how dumb I am. I think the original problem was the module. After I replaced the module when I put it all back together I had the wire coming...

    Engine won't start

The rotor is turning when the engine cranks. When I changed distributors I changed complete unit(cap, rotor, everything). Also when the engine is cranking I am reading voltage at the coil only it is down from 12V to 7-8Volts. Maybe this replacement distributor has bad components , which I...

    Engine won't start

I don't think I have an oil pressure switch the engine is nothing fancy. The car did have a kill switch but I took it out thinking that could be the problem. I inspected the cap and rotor and found no visible spots, then I checked the coil in another car I have here and it started the other...

    Auto to Manual trans. swap

A good friend of mine has a '81 Vette with an automatic and is wanting to change over to a 4-speed manual. I told him I would do some research on parts and modifications needed. I'm sure some people here have performed this swap and I was hoping I could get a total parts list, an idea of the...

    Lifting body off frame

I would like to lift the body off my '68 to detail/restore chassis this winter and would like to know what are the good books or publications that can help me with this. I want to leave the body together as much as possible. Thanks.

    Need help with fender flares

My '68 has flares very similar to what was on the GM test Vette ot '68/69 also the factory race vettes of that era. Approx. 4" on the back, 2"front. I measured and came up with I could put an 11" wheel with 4" backspacing. Now mine has stock trailing arms and I'm not sure but I think offset...
