I'm taking it to the dealership this Saturday to have a few things done. I plan on having them look at it; however since the orange peel affected only a small area, I'm not sure that I want to take a chance of them not being able to blend everything in...... I'll keep you posted.
Door Unlatching Issue Resolved.........
Got a call from the Dealership (who have been very good) and the door issues have been repaired. GM Engineers and Dealer Techs discovered that one of the modules were defective. They are putting the panels back together and ready for pick up this...
The Dealer had decided to have me bring the Corvette in today so that they would have their senior Corvette specialist work on it. They have eliminated that the issue has to do with the pairing on my Galaxy S3 phone (which was what they along with the engineers at GM had thought it would be)...
This morning woke up and the driver door was working again so this afternoon I took the Corvette out for a spin and then decided to pair my phone........after the attempt to pair the phone again the door would not open. I tried unlocking the door with the door panel lock; no luck and had to use...
Talking about the electric door latch button on the inside door panel and the outside door handle. When I try to open the door from the inside the window goes down approximately 1/4 inch then backup.....door does not open.
Well what started out as a Great Day taking delivery of my new C7 Stingray today turned out frustrating by the time I drove up into my driveway! The C7 drove and handled Great on the way home. Pulled up into the driveway and when I parked......the driver door would not open. Ended up having...
Thanks for the tips on what to look for. The front wheels turn freely when up on a lift. The ball joints (upper & lower) were replace about 4 years ago; inspected them and appear solid and in good shape still. All the front control arm bushings look good. A new control valve was put on about...
Having steering issues on my 72 vette. Turning the steering wheel to the left appears normal however when turning it to the right it is hard / stiff. I replaced the power steering pump, rebuilt the ps cylinder, rebuilt the steering gear box, new pitman arm and just had the front end alignment...
The adventure keeps going............
Tried that already..................with my luck, the A/C is behind grate and I can't get to the latch. Going to take a couple days to catch my breath, calm down and give it another go on Monday!
It keeps getting better................
Well after several days of trying to open the hood and a night in the emergency room after smashing my thumb trying to fish the hole looking for the latch lever.......Decided to take a couple of days to cool down :mad. Figured I would try again next...
Here is what I am dealing with. You can see the small hole (Right side of picture) where the rubber cap was removed to allow you to insert a screw driver or other tool, to move the latch lever to the left...........hopefully unlocking the latch. The black wiper rod just below the hole is...
Think I will go out and give it a shot. I have a tool similar to the one you show in the picture. I think that what is holding me up is the wiper rod that is directly in front of the hole. I removed the wiper door to give myself a bit more play room, but because of the wiper rod, I have to go...
