I also have a stock 81 with a/c and the fan does run constantly. Though I'm not sure why. I thought this was also strange but I guess that's just how they were designed?

Being only 18 now I can truly say that that kid will remember that I promise. I can still remember the first day I saw my 81 when it belonged to my uncle and that was 13 years ago. It seems so vivid in my mind I hope i never forget that day.
