My friend has a 90 vette, and lost his keys. The locklsmith wants $400. to make a key with vats, another told him to get a new ign switch. The dealer doesn't seem to be able to help, any ideas, thanks Jim.

I have the plastic speedo/tach surround off, for painting. I have an occasional problem with the oil pressure gauge. It sometimes shows half the number. Since I'm there , I thought I'd clean the contacts. I can't fiqure out how it comes out. I see 2 screws on the top, is this the only thing...

You need a star type socket, also there is a recess in the bracket so the flat side of the bolt only comes out one way. Good luck, Jim.

I also have one in my 87, the fellow I bought the car from , said it was a dealer option. I tried using it , gets a lot of false alarms. Mine has double face tape holding it, but its in the same location as yours. I wonder if the unit by the fender can be updated. I may do some research...

I would try Contemporary Corvette, Vette2 Vette, or Atrs Corvette parts, they sell new and used parts, do a Goggle search, good luck Jim.
