Beautiful Vette...the wheels look fantastic as well. Congrats!!

PS. Jim Rathmann has two Chevy dealerships down here where I live. One in Melbourne and one in Palm Bay, FL. I believe his son runs them now.
Greetings,
I picked up a set of polished C5 Z06 rims to put on my '85 but unfortunately, when mounted with the adapters, they do not sit flush. There is not enough cut-out in the back of the rim to allow room for the lug nuts on the adapters. Instead of modifying the adapters (I have concerns...
Could you possibly post some pics? You can host them on a site like photobucket.com its fairly easy to do. While I can't afford your Vette at this time, I'd nonetheless love to see some pics. I hope to get either a LT4 vert or a ZR-1 one day.
Oh, good luck with your sale.
Cheers,
Joe
Hi Ruby Fan,
I have a set of factory keys for my '85 Vette. They do have the black coating on both the round and square key. The coating is also stamped with the "GM" logo. I hope this helps. My digital camera gave up the ghost and I haven't received its replacement as of yet. Otherwise...
Another vote for advancing your timing. I used to run mine at 38-40 full advance. A few degrees can make a huge difference. Keep us posted.
Good luck,
Joe
Looks great, Tom. Nice job. Thanks for sharing and thanks as well for the information regarding Leatherique.com. I'll be sure to check them out. My seats are still in very good condition, but as they say, an ounce of prevention...

Sorry I don't have a very detailed response for you, but I do recall seeing an article in a Vette mag in regards to this swap. Your tunnel will have to be hacked (modified). I also believe you need a different length driveshaft. Dang, I wish I could be of more help. Have you tried to do a...
Concur with Tony. A defective flasher relay will buzz like that and drive you up the wall. I'm not sure if the flasher is located where your noise is coming from or not. Best of luck with your search. These kind of things can drive one up a wall.
Cheers,
Joe
First off...I'm so glad no one was injured.
But, I feel so bad for you. I'm very, very sorry. Those pics are heart-breaking.
Edited to add that my thoughts go out to your mechanic as well. I do hope that everyone involved is able to recover with as little pain as possible. Best of luck to...
A little off topic perhaps, but could anyone tell me about what I should be getting out of an '85 L98 with the 4+3? I normally average about 21 on the highway and not too much less in town.
Thanks,
Joe
