Wouldn't a 2007 be well past the end of the standard 3 year warranty? Depending on the purchase date, it might even be beyond the extended 5 year - assuming it was even avaialble in 2007, which I am pretty sure it wasn't.
Not sure why you would expect to be covered under warrranty.

One more thing - what is your intention for the car? If it is NCRS judging, then remember the "burden of proof" lies with the owner, so it will be up to you to provide documentation that the car is a 'real' Callaway if it does not have the B2K option code. Be sure to get whatever documentation...
The early '87s did not get teh 'B2K' designation because several cars were pulled from stock to be converted to seed teh production. This is not unusual. As was mentioned, owners could also send their cars directly to Callaway for converstion. Either way, the cars were built the same way so all...
If memory serves, all '87s got the NACA (triangular) ducts in the hood. The hood ducts were removed from 88-90, and then returned in '91 in the form of a blister scoop.
As for the wheels, I think the wheels were optional in '87 (16" Dymag), but I'm not certain on that one.
And you may not...
Maintenance is not very different than the standard Corvette, except that oil level and changing is more critical since the turbos feed off the main oil supply (oil capacity is higher also, about a quart, IIRC). Changing the plugs is quite a challenge on the passenger side, the back 2 plugs are...
If that's the '87 in Scottsdale (Craigslist), I looked at it. It's mostly there, but the current owner says he doesn't know if it runs. Missing original wheels and one megaphone, and one of the intercoolers is just sitting in place loose (vulco hoses gone).
Listed as a '95, so it's not a Twin Turbo. Best case would be a Supernatural, but I don't see any indication of that. A Callaway-installed Aerobody would have removed the hood emblem, so I'm guessing a plain-jane '95 with an aftermarket Aerobody addition rather than a "genuine" Callaway Corvette.
No, all the Speedsters are 6 speed manuals.
It works great. :D
Nearest Callaway facility for me is in CA, although most of the mechanicals are standard GM.
Yes, the Speedsters started life as convertibles.
No, the NACA ducts were only used in 1987. Most of the Aerobody cars...
Radiator is not relocated. The brace you see is unique to the convertibles, added by GM for better frame rigidity.
Sorry, off the top of my head, I don't know the specs on the turbos.
The aluminum rectangles on each side of the plenum are the intercoolers.
The turbos are mounted under the exhaust headers, and aren't really visible from the top. They are flanking the oil pan (forward of the cats) in this photo.
Hope this helps.
Here you go. (I need to make a question mark and attach it to the license plate frame to finish this off. Haven't gotten around to that yet.):upthumbs
Thanks Ike. The article and photos came out great, I think. I may do the letters on the yellow car at some point. I do like the look, but I...
