Help! Service ASR , Service ABS lights

If I find a tape measure I'll get the diameters (won't be home till Sat. eve) What do I need to do to get fault codes.( factory repair manuals at home) Searched the site and found out how to get the codes. Now all I need is a paper clip. (my kingdom for a paper clip) lol Thanks for the...

Help! Service ASR , Service ABS lights

I had 285/40 17's on all 4 corners. I replaced the wheels and now have 255/45 17 on the front and 285/40 18 on the rear. After driving a while both lights come on. I am guessing it's because of the staggered wheel size and the wheel speed sensor signals being different. Is there some setting...

    New guy

welcome I also had a HD. I traded it for my 93 ( torch red ). It had over 150k on it and no records. After I got it (on a thrs) I changed the top and bottom rad hoses and the belt (on fri) hit the road for a 600 mile wknd road trip. I wouldnt worry much about it. Go for it and enjoy :D :v

On my 93 I had found coolant on the crossmember. The w/p rear seal and most of the bearing balls were gone but it was working fine with no noise and only a slight drip. Buying a "vette"

Good advice. I can only add is look for a reason NOT to buy. Like being used as a dog house. There is always a reason to buy: I like the color. It's the year I want. It's a stick/automatic. etc. Good looking car:)

    News: Dexos Oil and GM

I read that too. Also stated that with the more advanced oil monitoring 10,000 mile oil changes will be possible negating the increased price.

    Question: Air Pump

When I was at funfest I asked Chris Petris (he was presenting several forums on maintainance) about this as mine is locked up. I was told that the pump only operates for the first 2 min. only at engine start up and then is turns off. This was to reduce start up emmissions and get the o2 sensors...

    Why I hate Corvette Forum

Mike please dont take any offense but I have been with Advance Auto 16 yrs and I am also ASE certified. Advance probably has the most ASE certified employees of any parts store out there. They place a high priority on ASE testing but still the knowledgeable parts guy is getting harder to find...
