I had 285/40 17's on all 4 corners. I replaced the wheels and now have 255/45 17 on the front and 285/40 18 on the rear.
After driving a while both lights come on. I am guessing it's because of the staggered wheel size and the wheel speed sensor signals being different.

Is there some setting that needs to be changed to fix that?

Thanks in advance for the help

Ken

It's going to be hard to help you without some information.

1) What are the tire diameters?

2) What fault codes have been set by the EBTCM?

If I find a tape measure I'll get the diameters (won't be home till Sat. eve)

What do I need to do to get fault codes.( factory repair manuals at home)

Searched the site and found out how to get the codes. Now all I need is a paper clip. (my kingdom for a paper clip) lol

Thanks for the response Hib

The stock from the factory tire size for a 93 is 255-45-17 on the front and 285-40-17 on the rear. The front tires are exactly what the ABS was designed for. The rear tires if you actually put 18 instead of 17 on are 1" larger and therefor your speedometer will be running slower than actual speed. Indicated 65 will be 68 MPH. The stagger that was used was to make the cars steering more neutral when going into a corner. One thing I have learned is that when you change something from factory original you generally introduce a whole new set of problems. And it is a never ending chase to get ahead of the ecm and what it thinks.

Jumping pins for ABS/ASR codes will not work. Pin G of the DLC needs to be grounded. With ignition on, you can via the CCM and instrument display access the ABS/ASR codes. See FSM pages 8D-4, 5 and 8D-10. For ABS/ASR diagnostics and codes refer to section 5E2.

Thanks for the input folks

Checked code has a 28 speed sensor signal
Tire diameter is 25 on front and 26 on rear

Yup speedo is about 2MPH off when checked with GPS

Didn't change for handling. Needed tires and liked the wheels
