    1972 Power Antenna

Anyway. GM/Delco unit..... UP green + gray - DOWN green - white + The relay determines this but you can touch the actual wires to terminals on a battery to test.

    1972 Power Antenna

For a GM antenna either the gray OR green wire is the ground. Depending on the direction of operation. Again, to original poster, what color are the wires.

    1972 Power Antenna

Uh, did it occur to you I'm asking the poster the color of his wires so I can tell him the hookups for up and down?? If his colors are green, gray, and white that might indicate a GM unit and there are specific hookups for correct operation. Just trying to determine if someone in the fast tried...

    78-early79 am/fm power antenna

This is a nicely restored power antenna out of(as I'm told)a 21K mile 78. Upon opening it up and overall condition I believe the mile statement is true, it's mint! It's also numbers/date correct for most pace cars. I replaced the nylon cable that pushes it up and down and replaced the harness...

    rear wheel stud

Something I posted on another forum a few years back................... "Did a search to see if I really needed to remove the rear spindle to replace a broken stud. The consensus seemed to be 'yes' Well, didn't need to. Of course, removed the caliper and hung it up in the wheel well. Rotor...

    '79 Lighted Visor Vanity Mirror

No lighted visor in either of my 79s, both with "convenience group" option. One is May 79 production, other is Sept 79(in last 3 weeks of 79 production). Neither build sheet mentions it.

    blower resistor

If the problem is your blower isn't operating on all speeds, remove the ac relay on the firewall, open it up, and pull a piece of sandpaper through the contact points. Worked for me on two of my vettes. It may be mounted like this, sideways, or around the corner(chrome in my pic).

    lights stay on

I think I noticed you have an 82? Sounds like the courtesy delay timer. There's a way to bypass if desired, do a search, or I think Willcox sells a circuit board to install in the module.

    Question: Power steering belt

The Gates 9365 represents a belt 9/16" wide by 36 1/2" long. A "correct" belt would be either 3/8" wide by 36" long or 7/16" wide by 36 1/2" long. If you notice, each 1/16" increase in width means 1/2" increase in length. The wider the belt, the higher it rides in the pulley. With that in mind...

Help! I can't believe I have to ask this! Gauge cluster screws.

Those allen head bolts on the face are cosmetic(FAKE!). You need to remove the entire gauge cluster. 2 screws top, 2 screws sides, 2 screws bottom to the shift console(accessible after removing the carpet side panels). Remove radio knobs and radio retaining nuts. Carefully pull forward at the...
