    Question: Changing from Auto to 4 speed

    I'm in the process of changing my 79 from an auto to a 4sp. The crossmember is a bolt in making at least this part of the change less painful. The rest however is, well, challenging.

    Check out Sean Murphy Induction in CA. He produces great QJets based on your requirements for around 300 delivered. Just Google his web site. I have one on my car and it works great!

    Aussie, send Tom at DeWitts a pm. I've installed his radiator and fans and I can attest they are top rate. There are other options but for the money I believe you get what you pay for.

    removing trailing arm shims

    I have a 79 and replaced my trailing arms a few months ago. The shims on the one side came out fairly easy but the inside shims on the drivers side were problematic. I used a small pry bar to loosen them up, working them ever so slightly until the rust broke free. Once they were loose it was...

    Try www.fastcorvette.com, they're right in your area. I bought my rear spring and struts from them for a good price and free shipping. Good people to deal with.
