Final Solution So after changing out every ground that I could find on the vette it came down to the alternator. I had to fight with the parts people since the alternator tested ok on no less than 3 testers at 3 different locations. Surely GM would not sell me a defective alternator...well as...

Just finished realigning the A/C ducts on my '81. I was surprised to see that the whole duct assembly is held up by only 1 screw. I also replaced weatherstrip on the ducts hoping to provide better seal and more air into the passenger compartment. When I did all this I took the center dash out...
