AJ,
once again it never ceases to amaze me the amount of knowledge that lives in your jar head. I'm surprised you weren't in motor t instead of cocking cannons.

Didn't do my Recon!!
Soooo.... after checking more on the site I found the pix from JunkMan. I'm on my way to purchase a new one.
That's assuming I can find my way:L
3rd Recon Bn. 26 Marines
The outside temp sensor is intermittent in reading correctly. I'm not sure where the sensor is located so I can't check it's connection. It seems to be "Bump" sensitive, but this may only be a coincidence.
The only codes I get are HVAC BO 441 and BO 446 which are history codes.
Any help would be...
Thanks for the input. I've changed the thermostat, and the fan temp.
I like the mid-shift increase at throttle; I'm going to leave the shift points alone.
Thanks again for your valuable input.:thumb

Has anyone reset the the shift points on an A4 with 3.15 using a hypertech III ? If so, did you raise the rev limit?
Thanks always for the members of this forum's input and help.

c4c5 is right about your problem and solution. He helped me with the same problem w/my
2000 coupe. In addition to replacing the hazzard switch, the turn signal stalk needed replacing as well and after two years the problem has not resurfaced.
Good luck with your task.

Thanks for the comeback c4c5, you just may have saved me much embarassment.
I stopped by another dealer yesterday inquireing about the replacement. I was quoted 4 hours time plus part cost. I was also told the part would be backordered until one was found. This being said, I marked the balancer...
Thanks gmjunkie, I kinda suspected the balancer but my "dealer" who would have had to replace it in warranty assured me it was ok when I inquired two years ago. As a side note a friend had his balancer come apart and it tore up the timing cover. I'm going to another dealer as I understand it is...
My 2000 C5 w/67k miles has started moving the serpentine belt forward on the belt tensioner after a few miles if I go over about 5000 RPM.
The belt is relatively new and the tensioner moves freely to put it back where it belongs. I've questioned my dealer in the past about the amount of wobble...
Hi all, I may be flogging a dead horse here; forgive me if I've missed the boat.:BDH
When watching my engine at idle the harmonic balancer wobbles like hell. I have a friend whos balancer failed and cost him a lot of money. When I was at my Friendly dealer with an unrelated issue I asked their...
