I drive the Vette to school when it gets nice, but that may not be for a long time
here in Ohio. The kids wonder how a teacher can afford a new Vette, but they
get a kick out of it. Last year my Vette and Silverado where on the school's
morning announcements during "Phatt Ride Week!" In a...
Another solution for the ugly stickers!
I couldn't stand those ugly stickers either and attempted trying to peel them off
with some success, but still a mess.
Got the idea of trying to find adhesive back black felt and cutting out a
piece to cover the entire sticker. Success and looks almost...
Glad to see there are alot of Corvette owners in all ages out there.
At 52 I feel I am just getting started and now I am at number 30
Corvette. After watching the Barrett-Jackson auction I realized things
have gone full circle. When I was younger I wanted a new Vette, but
could only afford...
Second C6, a 2006 with only 399 miles, still on the honeymoon! In regards to
battery run-down on 6-speed manuals. The '05 I had last year spent most
of the winter in the garage with the battery hooked up and the transmission
in reverse and there was never a problem, and I only started twice...
Silverman don't feel too bad, there are alot of us storing our Vettes.
Just think of all the money you save on gas, car washing, polishes,
and etc., and it never gets dirty! I was going to order an '06, but
looked at the time line and felt with two trade-ins and possible salt
exposure buying...
Since here in Ohio there is this white %$#) on the ground and this other
corrosive white *&^$ on the roads, I was only able to get 388 miles on my
'06 auto, but I will tell you there was never any hesitation with the
transmission or people asking for a ride! This is going to be a long...
Gersh,
I appreciate your comments and when I think back of some of my best Corvettes, were the mid-years with a 4-speed on a warm summer night with
the top down shifting gears and hearing that small block scream! But
too many Camaros and Corvettes with Heavy-duty clutches have caused my...
Just a thought here; so after 7 Corvettes with 4-speeds, no air,
no power steering, no power brakes, or anything else power;
buying an '06 with a 6-speed automatic and loaded doesn't
really make me a wannabe. Maybe next year you will see
the 6-speed automatic as a Z06 option.
Bought it off of the showroom floor. I was ordering one, but decided to
go look at this one just for fun, and after seeing the price, getting
a decent dollar for my trades, it was mine. Pretty much what I wanted
to order, except for the competiton gray wheels, but everyone likes them
on the...
So far I am really enjoying that 6-speed automatic. Love the
new steering wheel and seeing what gear the transmission is
in on the heads up display. The Vette has only 70 miles on it,
so I haven't really driven it hard, but I will tell you 1st gear is
really low. It feels like you could pull...
Had the same exact problem with my '99 along with the
Vacuum controls. Apparently when the battery blew
(previous owner) it must have affected the connections
and controls under the battery compartment. There was
something about that in an issue of Corvette Fever awhile
back. Take a look...
Ordered mine from GM, still have the part numbers (somewhere),
and used 3M double-sided tape to apply them. Couldn't think
of drilling holes in the Vette!
