I am running 18" fronts and 19" rears on my C5 with no problems, and it's lowered too. 275/35's front and 295/35's rear.

Pretty sure the wheel lugs need to be 100 ft/lbs. Prabably best to reach that torque in one or two increments if you really have some time to kill.

I would check to make sure if the wheels are clear coated, as the abrasive and chemicals in the polish will damage the clear coat. I tend to like the way Wenol or Mother's works on aluminum. Never tried a chrome polish. If they are clear coated, soap and water and a mild wax will work well. :beer

I expected to get an error code on the DIC at each key up since I switched over to the new wheels without the TP sensors. When I scroll through the DIC the tire pressure screens show the LF RF, LR RR with a blank (no dashed lines, no zeros) following each where the actual pressure readout...
