Help! Help Needed for 2012 Steering Wheel Conversion

Clarity Achieved So, I was able to figure this out and here are the results. I'll keep my comments limited to the 2012 Z06. Yellow stitching is indeed available in the 3LZ package. It should be noted that it's only available with ebony custom leather. Yellow stitching is excluded from the...

Help! Help Needed for 2012 Steering Wheel Conversion

DCSW Can Re-Wrap and Re-Stitch the 2012 Steering Wheel It would seem that I misinterpreted what I was told. DCSW DOES re-wrap and re-stitch the 2012 steering wheel. You can ship them your wheel for re-work or they can ship you one from their inventory in exchange for a core deposit. I...

Help! Help Needed for 2012 Steering Wheel Conversion

I hope I'm posting this in the right place. So I thought I had the plan in the bag. I have a 2009 Z06 and was planning to purchase a 2012 wheel and transplant my airbag and center cap. Before the transplant, I was going to send the wheel to DCSW to have it re-wrapped in alcantara and...

GM's V8 Production Down by Half - Should Next Gen Corvette Adopt a V6 to Keep Up with the Times?

Chevy V8 is an icon I'm with captna on this. The Chevy small block is an icon every bit as much as the Corvette itself. A V6 Corvette is no Corvette at all.

Pics! from Lime Rock Corvette Corral

Thanks for sharing. Great pics and vids. I was there as well and love Lime Rock. It's such a great place to catch an ALMS race. Love the sound of unfiltered Corvette power at high RPMs. :thumb

    Whoosing Sound

Hard to describe. Sort of like air escaping, but not continuous. It's cyclical - whoosh, whoosh, whoosh. Went away after I let it sit for awhile. I'm hoping it's not the active handling going hey-wire. :confused

Question: Z06 Battery Tender/How To Install For Convenience

Are you looking for something permanent or temporary? When I put her up for the winter last year, I did what Norty said. Connected to the pickups under the hood and ran the male cable up and over the front fender. Connected that to the tender's female pickup and placed it next to the car...

    Poor showing at Lime Rock

Thanks. Yep, it's on to Mid-Ohio. Let's hope it's not more of the same this time. :confused

    Whoosing Sound

After a 10 minute ride in the "Z" back from a get together, I noticed a "whoosing" sound emanating from the front driver side tire area. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? Thanks in advance.

    Poor showing at Lime Rock

Yep, was there and saw it all. Not quite sure if the incident with the #3 was mechanical failure or contact with the #88. I agree that the penalty on the #4 seemed unwarranted.

    Question: Just for fun

It's All About the ET Fast for me is low ET on the autocross. Got some friends who think it's low ET in the quarter mile. Different strokes for different folks. :upthumbs Save the :w
