I recently (2 wks ago) bought a '66 coupe to satisfy my desire to own another mid-year. I last owned a '63 coupe in 1967 as a senior in high school. Since then I've owned a '77 (sold), an '03 Z06 (still have), and my recent purchase, a '66 coupe.
I've searched back threads and could not find...
I looked through eBaymotors.com and found '64 Corvette's selling for a "buy it now" price of $49,995. That was the highest advertised price although all of the other bids had "reserve not met" under them.
For me it started in my senior year of high school, 1967. At the time, I was working at a gas station and was driving a '66 Mustang, hi-perf 289, w/ 4 sp. During a drive into Hayward a friend and I passed a used car lot and noticed a white/red '63 Corvette coupe parked in back. We stopped to...
When I was working I used to see Corvette's all the time with no front plate and never pulled them over unless there were some other reason. Leave them alone and use the "no front plate" as probable cause at another time.
I have to agree, I wouldn't mix and match those tires. Here's what I found:
Stock tire: Circumference = 82.1"
New tire: Circumference = 89.4"
You're definitely going to mess something up.
You can go online and check Kelley Blue Book for the value of your Z06 and you can also go online, eBay, and see what people are asking for their '02 Z06 in similar condition. Good luck.
Thanks Vettehead Mikey. I just wanted to be a little more assured that I would be able to drive the '67 when I get it. I've heard horror stories about hardened valve seats being required to run today's pump gas, lower compression ratios, adjusted timing, etc. Heck, it almost scared me out of...
re: unleaded gas in C2
I'm planning on purchasing a 1967 SB coupe. I've read that running unleaded gas in a car designed for leaded gas will damage the engine/engine parts. Is there any truth to this? I want to drive the car but do not want to damage it. Are there any gas additives that can...
Bad A$$ looking MY Z06. I have those rear fenders sitting in the den waiting to be painted. After seeing these photos I think I'm going to have to up the paint date.
If anyone knows, what size wheels does it have on the back and was it mini-tubbed? I was told when buying the fenders that...
They won't fit. You'll have to tub your Z06. If you like the style of the C6 Z06 wheels, they make aftermarket C6/Z06 wheels in C5 sizes/widths that will fit with no modifications.
I have the PS2's on mine and they're wearing really good. I do not have OE sized tires on it...275/35x18 and 305/30x19.....but I don't see any difference in tire wear as they're almost identical in circumference. I didn't think there would be that much difference in longevity, comparing the...
Yep, mine does the same thing.
And like gm says, it's supposed to be that way.
All I can think of is that it was designed that way. The small door actually will snuff out any lit cigarettes that are left in the ashtray. If you only had the larger door it would allow the cigarette to...
