Zaino is just my personal preference.....there are quite a few outstanding products available. When you have the opportunity to start with a new vehicle paint job, it is really a piece of cake in achieving an outstanding look. :cool
....then do it for your family and friends. Tomorrow, some very good friends of mine will say good-bye to their son who was killed in an accident because he was not wearing a seatbelt.
:cry
With the complexity of today's automobiles, I'm a believer in extended warranties for my vehicles......it can often pay for itself the 1st time you have to go in for a problem.
Other extended warranties, though, I don't bother with.
since I don't track my Z, I switched to ceramic pads......little to no dust issue.....as far as tire sling mentioned by NC 50anny, try some Zaino tire treatment.....IMO, it holds up longer and does not sling
I had a '78 LeMans that did that......for that car, all I had to do was make a quick downward push in the latch area after trying the standard latch release...
hopefully, someone who is familiar with the '81's can offer better advice......good luck!!
and when you get it open, thoroughly...
I prefer Zaino for its ease of application/removal, light refraction qualities and overall durability. Its tire treatment and leather treatment are also 1st class IMO.
It's the best there is IMO...once the initial prep work is done, subsequent applications are practically effortless! The tire treatment does not sling, and the leather cleaner & conditioner is great!:beer
