Zaino is just my personal preference.....there are quite a few outstanding products available. When you have the opportunity to start with a new vehicle paint job, it is really a piece of cake in achieving an outstanding look. :cool

With the complexity of today's automobiles, I'm a believer in extended warranties for my vehicles......it can often pay for itself the 1st time you have to go in for a problem. Other extended warranties, though, I don't bother with.

since I don't track my Z, I switched to ceramic pads......little to no dust issue.....as far as tire sling mentioned by NC 50anny, try some Zaino tire treatment.....IMO, it holds up longer and does not sling

I had a '78 LeMans that did that......for that car, all I had to do was make a quick downward push in the latch area after trying the standard latch release... hopefully, someone who is familiar with the '81's can offer better advice......good luck!! and when you get it open, thoroughly...

I don't believe the recall notices will start until June, and I will be surprised at that timing considering the volume of GM recalls there are.

both my Z and f-body are M6......for pure fun factor, manual is the way to go IMHO :beer

I prefer Zaino for its ease of application/removal, light refraction qualities and overall durability. Its tire treatment and leather treatment are also 1st class IMO.

:beer yeah, skip shift is a royal pain, but I'm glad GM built it in to avoid the gas guzzler tax......it was my 1st mod on my f-body and my Z

It's the best there is IMO...once the initial prep work is done, subsequent applications are practically effortless! The tire treatment does not sling, and the leather cleaner & conditioner is great!:beer
