    Turbocharger questions

Better look again because it should have an oil line going to it and one going to the oil pan or oil pump blockoff plate for draining the oil

    Turbocharger questions

Insulatin then turbine (not the compressor on the cartridge) is good practice to keep the heat in the turbine for faster spool up (less heat loss from exhaust gas 0> more potential energy/faster flowing exhaust -> better & faster spool up) and it will reduce under hood temps. The metal is cast...

    C3 chassis stiffening

You can do it with stick but it will be pretty ugly, MIG w/ ar/co2 about 75/25% is the best way. You can easily lay down nice consistent beads and have good penetration. The racing method is to fully weld the frame and gusset the motor mounts, the lower contol arm mounts, box the frame horns and...

    For the Crossfire guys-

What a lot of work for a system that's not a cfi and not a tpi but a bastardized version of ...nothing. If you want to do that, get a big lower plenum, some big runners, chop them off 1/2 way, fabricate a big upper plenum, cut an opening in the front for a front mounted throttle body and be done...

Anyone know where to buy a fuel low Circuit Board?

Good luck, I got mine from corvette central a couple of years ago, i just asked them to include it in the order if they had one. When I got my stuff I quickly found out how hard it apparently is to find...the price was outta here.

    fuel pressure problem

Somehow the pressure is bleeding off, does your pump have an internal checkvalve? You might want to try to put one in the fuel line, close to the tank. That will help prime the system when the car has sat for some time.

    Half Shafts

What's up w/ your hostile reply? His question was: "How would you rate the impact of the usage of the halfshafts as suspension components over the life of the car" So, the fact that the 1/2 shaft is part of the suspension geometry is the cause of the stub axle & center pin problem, they are...

    supercharger for a 78 L82

You don't have to use the igloo thing (assuming you are running a holley or bg carb), read this: http://www.hangar18fabrication.com/blowthru

    Half Shafts

They don't outlast the rest of the car, the usage of the 1/2 shaft as the upper camber control member is the reason why so many C3s have a problem with worn stub axles, center pins, missing c-clips (or clips ground to pieces) the loas on the bearings are tremendous because of this. Any wear on...

    Wanna swap a C3 for a C4?

Are you saying you want to trade your car with the engine and trans removed for a chomr bumper car? No one will do that, in fact I don't think anyone would trade a C4 without engine/trans for any C3. A c4 without an engine & trans is pretty much worthless.

If you plugged your Oil Filter Bypass, what oil filters do u use ???

The bypass is a bad design IMO, it lets unfiltered oil through when the engine is cold, this to keep the oil filter from bursting at very high pressure. The bypass can also bypass oil when the engine is warm, it depends on what wieght oil you use, the pressure spring & potential of the oil pump...

    blower help

You need to reduce the CR some more if you want to be able to take full advantage of the SC. Also, you'll need new pistons anyway (yours are hypereutectic), the block needs to be decked and a gasket combo selected to get the quench tight to control detonation, otherwise it will detonate like...

    Turbos w/ carb

Sure it can be done, either blow through (banks systems) or draw through (martin turbo sys) There are some things you need to modify on your carb, there is an article on the net somewhere about modifying a holley for turbocharging/supercharging. Do a search on it, it's a very good read (step...

I was told to stay away from 86 vettes

CFI is a very simple system and very realiable, it's morons working on them that makes it unreliable, but so does it for TPI systems. You would actually be shocked at how similar the CFI system is to TPI and especially the later speed density tpi system. The only major different is between the...
