    Need Help With Starter Problem

Could be in your ignition switch. Do the gauges come on when you turn the key? It is possible that your current ignition is not making contact when you turn the key all the over to start it. Any car thief can pop it right out for you. Good luck. Steve

    Wipers

Got my first vette about a month ago, and can't imagine what took me so long. I bought an original 1968 427/400 convertable that is in great shape. I am replacing the oil pan right now because of a leak where someone once welded it, and now I am getting ready to tackle the inoperable wipers...

    Oil leak

I have a crack in the oil pan near the drain. It looks like there is some weld around it, so someone had the same problem before and fixed it the cheap way. Not that big of a thing to replace. New pan, baffle and gaskets will run $150 to $200. Some days it just smiles down on you when I consider...

    Oil leak

I have an oil leak on my 68 427/400, and I expect it is the rear seal. Can it be replaced by dropping the tranny, or do I need to pull the engine to get to it? Thanks Steve

    68 427 for 28K ... How did I do?

Take an experienced inspector with you. $300 is not much compared to $28,000.00 Automatics have a lower value than 4 speeds. If it is a car you will keep for a while, great, but if you are thinking of reselling within a few years you may be wise to keep looking. What ever your decision, good...

    Windows hard to roll up

I just got a 68 Corvette and everything is perfect except for the windows. They are very hard to roll up, and I plan to pull the panels next weekend and see whats up. Any thoughts on what I should look for? Bushings? This is my first Corvette and I appreciate any and all help. Where is the best...

Tell us all where you bought your C3

I just bought a 68 427/400 #'s car from Kassabian Motors in Northern California. I live in Southern Calif, and the car will arrive tomorrow. I started out looking for a 427/435, but too many sellers claim to have one, and they turned out to be something else. Sooner or later I figured my...

    My new 1968

I just bought a 1968 427/400, 4 speed convertable, and I hope it will arrive within a week or so. I can't claim to be very knowledgeable on Corvetts, and I am looking for any help I can get. What should I watch for on the car? I have heard about some overheating problems on the early big blocks...
