    Help! Suspension Knuckle

Has anyone had to replace the suspension knuckle at the rear suspension. This is the piece that holds the bottom of the shock. It weights about 11 lbs and appears to be cast aluminum. Is it a hard Job and can a home mechanic do this? Any help would be appreciated. The car is a 91 Convertible.

Question: What kind of fuel do you use?

In MN we have ethonal but you can get premium gas without it and that is what I run in my 91. I have run ethonal in a pinch but the mileage falls off by about 10-20 percent and it does not seem to run as well.

    1993 corvette Cheap insurance?

Most "classic car insureres" wont insure newer cars. Most have to be at least 20 years old to qualify for this ins. or be a true classic. Most states will not allow a car under twenty years to be labeled or insured as a classic. My regular ins. on my 91 vet vert is only about 600 bucks a year...

Lots of folks out there bashing the C4...what gives?

I have had my Yellow 91 Convertible for almost 3 years. It has 120000 miles on it and runs just beautifully. I love the C4. It looks great, rides nice, is fast and handles like a charm. I have driven older Vettes and they dont handle as well nor ride anywhere near as nice as the C4. Just my 2...

1991 - CD player not grabbing disc?

I have had the same problem on my 91 Verte. Sent the radio to Sound Repair in Fl. and they fixed it for about 150 or so including shipping. No a big problem but they did have problems with the Bose system eating cd's.

    New Acquisition

I have a 91 vert and it is the 8th convertible I have owned. First Corvette though. I always have a hat in the car, in fact two or three. I have a knit Gatsby/Ben Hogan style that is my favorite, one size fits all and it never blows off. I have over the years lost a few, especially baseball...

    Opening A Can Of Worms

Verts I am on my 8th convertble and my first Corvette vert. The only one that ever leaked was my 76 Eldorado. The corvette has a good top, seals well and I have had no problems so far. I have lots of friends that have C5 converts and they all say no problems with the tops. My motto is (if it...

never liked the C4 all that much, so what happened to me?

C4 My first Vette is a 91 convert. It was in the right price range and I have grown to love the car. More fun to drive and so far no problems with anything except the Bose Radio. I love to just get in and drive to nowhere in particular. I use it as an everyday driver, except with snow on the...

Anybody tried Harbor Freight's Sandblaster ?

I have the red stand up sand blaster and it works great. You do need a lot of air so a large two stage compressor is nessasary.

    Bose Radio

Thanks guys. I thought that might be the way to go. I have not really had any problems other than a blown speaker on the right side with this system. Of course it is 15 year old technology.
