    Got a "new" midyear

Well, I've actually owned 7 midyears, this is just my 1st split window car. I still have my Nassau Blue '66 coupe, also. I still want to get either a ZR-1 or maybe an LT-4 car, the '66 will probably go up for sale when I get the '63 up and running and the bugs worked out. Rich

    It Lives

Ray Thanks for the info. I am going to order the Judging manual, it's just been a busy 2 weeks since I got the car. I'll go out later to look at the steering wheel, but since the VIN is 07757, it doesn't look like it would have been original. Thanks- Rich

    It Lives

Ray I just started a thread showing my '63 as I hauled it "out of a barn". One thing I didn't pay much attention to, but you can see from the interior pic, is that I have a woodgrain steering wheel, not color coded as I've seen in most '63s. From your website I see that there were only 130...

    Got a "new" midyear

Well, I sold my LT-1 last month, but instead of buying a ZR-1, I found this too tempting to resist. It has the original 340 hp engine, (heads, carb, starter) a T-10 4-speed, and a 3.70 rear out of a '67. Has had some front end repairs, but looks good. The car is supposed to be Sebring Silver...

    It Lives

Ray I am looking forward to your pictures, as I just purchased a SWC a couple of weeks ago. I have to shim my distributor (the car has not been run in 6 years and I am going over all the mechanicals) but can't remember which way the dimple is supposed to face. Is it on the same side that the...

    Decoding a Corvette rear end?

And that's all just off the top of his head! :L Actually, the big block rears would have a different code, and used heavier duty caps with reg. type bolts, not the u-bolt style. Rich

    Intake Manifold #'s question

Dawn I have a 3919803 intake if you are interested. It's in nice shape, and has the oil fill tube on it. It would need repainting to look good. Rich P.S. Yes- Happy birthday!

    DryWash

I haven't washed my cars in years. Moisture is the enemy. :D I have 2 convertibles and a coupe. All 3 leak if caught in the rain, so I figure I'm not going to purposely get water down into the doors, windshield frames, behind bumpers, etc. where you can't dry it. Dri-Wash is all I use. I like...

    Intake Manifold Question

Also applies to the '64 365 hp. They go from around $200 to $350 depending on condition. Rich

Looks like ZR-1 prices might be dropping . . .

Wow! Somewhat more than I'm looking to spend (looking for '91 or '92) but a great deal for sure. Rich

Found Stolen 58/59 Vette. Is it Yours??

I would say it is a '60 (based on the seat pattern) assuming the car has the "correct" interior. But in contrast, it has red seats while showing a black instrument cluster, so it is already "incorrect". Rich

    '71 LT-1 Convertible For Sale

For what I'm looking for, (a nice '91) enough and then some. I may also pick up a '68 Chevelle project that I looked at a while back. Rich

How much do you drive your C1- C2?

I put about 1000-1500 miles on my '66 last year. It would be more, but it shared pleasure driving duties with my '71 LT-1 (which I just sold) and my '64 GTO. If it was my only classic, it would have been easily been 3,000. Rich

    Pricing on a '66 Coupe

Story of my life, Larry. I just sold it this afternoon. I think the LT-1 cars have been under-appreciated for some time. I'm satisfied with what I got out of it, but I'm sure they are on their way up. I will probably miss it a bit, but after having it for 13 years, I am ready for something...

    Pricing on a '66 Coupe

Thanks for the replies. I had been thinking that it would have to be a minimum of $30,000 to make me consider a move. I do have a line on another midyear, or I wouldn't even entertain the thought of selling. Seeing what some of the project/basket cases have been going for lately, $30,000 might...
