Just wanted to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and I wanted to post this x-mas story. I'm not the author of it, but I thought it was pretty cool:
• Twas the Night Before Christmas - Corvette Style
'Twas the night before Christmas and out in the garage,
There wasn't a trace of a Honda...
Ditto: I also went to Dick's sporting Goods and bought a couple of hockey pucks that I use on the jack pad. Have used them ever since through many oil changes, brake jobs, exhaust work and anything else I need to do under the car.
The above advice is right on. Also, report it to the police and get a report. File a claim with your insurance co. They should cover it under comprehensive. If so, then you can try to get your deductible paid for by the parents. That would be alot easier then trying to get them to pay for the...
The 1227730 bin and the super_8dm2.ecu for your xdf should work. After reading the message boards for tunerpro, it seems that previous versions of RT had problems with hook up to 90-91 Corvettes. Just make sure you have the current version.
Since you have the cable and Tunerpro RT, you need to download 2 files. First you must identify your ECM and download and save the definition (.bin) file for it. Second, you need to download the .xdf file for the program to communicate from the ECM to the computer. I just did this recently and...
Well, just removed the IAC and cleaned it up and the orafic it goes into and did a reset. There was some build up, but not a lot. Seems to be idling smoother. Got to take a long trip tomorrow. Let's see what happens.
Mine does the exact same thing along with a surging idle after it gets hot. Been working on this one for a while.;shrug I'll be monitoring this post to see if some one comes up with anything different to try to narrow down this problem. It seems this happens a lot. I've read a lot of posts...
You can use Tunerpro RT. I was using this on my 91 T/A. You can download it here: http://tunerpro.markmansur.com/downloadApp.htm
You will need to get a cable for communication and you need to know exactly which ECM you have and download the .bin for it. -- RT is awesome.:beer
Funny- that's pretty much the same situation I'm in now. I drive it when I need to keep the vette in the garage like this past Friday with the snow & ice and such. But I will let you know if I come up with anything new. :beer
This seems to be an ongoing problem for L98's both in Vette's & F-bodies. I've been battling this same problem in my second car, a 91 T/A for quite a while. I've checked the Corvette and f-body forums and it seems that it's not just one issue that causes this, but a combination of issues.I...

Maybe this will explain some of the symtoms you're having. Good Luck!
Hi xtremevette. I've owned f-bodies since I was 18, now 48, and I still have my 91 T/A 5.0 TPI. I installed a low temp coolant fan switch from MidAmerica like you did with the hypertech. If your getting no fan activity at all and getting no codes, the problem could be with the fan circuit. First...
If your looking for a cross between green and blue, you might want to consider the GM paint they used on mid -90's f-bodies. It's called Mystic Teal. In the sunlight it looks green and in the shade it turns a dark blue. It's one of the classiest colors they've used. We painted ny sons 91 Camaro...
Hey onyx c4, yours is beautiful. I won't have a problem keeping it clean. For the last 4 years, my neighbors think I'm nuts when I'm outside cleaning my cars in the darkness. Big wave back.
